SNSBI Autumn day conference – Saturday 3 October 2015

SNSBI joined the Cymdeithas Enwau Lleoedd Cymru/Welsh Place-Name Society for their annual conference on Saturday 3 October. The programme covered Welsh place-names, as well as Scottish place-names and Shropshire place-names containing Welsh elements and personal names.

The previous plan for SNSBI to meet in Newcastle on Saturday 10 October had to be deferred because Rugby World Cup matches that weekend had put exceptional pressure on the availability of hotel rooms in Newcastle and all neighbouring towns, and on the transport network.
