Society for Name Studies in Britain and Ireland (SNSBI)

Membership of the Society.
Last updated March 2008.

Membership of the Society is open to all who are interested in the study of names including place-names and personal names. The subscription year runs from January 1st to December 31st annually. Members are entitled to copies of the Society journal, NOMINA, published during their membership, plus the right to purchase back numbers at reduced prices. They also get such newsletters as are published, together with preferential booking and rates at the Society’s annual weekend Conference and Day Schools.

Currently Annual Membership Subscriptions are:- individual £15, institutional £15, family £20, student £5. These will be increased from January 2009 - details will be available shortly.

To help with administration, the list of members’ names and addresses is kept on computer. If you would prefer your membership record kept in a "manual" file, please let the Membership Secretary know when you return your application form. Since the address labels are printed from the computer list, mailings to those on the manual file may occasionally be slightly delayed.
